“You still don’t get it, do you?” He asked her, staring at him like some sort of impossible math problem. She shook her head.
“I know all of you must really find me weird and all, pero gano’n talaga,eh.” He laughed heartily. Nagpameywang ang dalaga, nakikinig lamang sa kanya.
“You know Liezel, you’re the sweet, smart, docile secretary and I’m the boss who’s supposed to fall in love with you after finding out how much you love me, too, and how you’ve loved me all these years.” Naiiling na wika ni Martin habang nakatingin sa labas ng bintana. Humarap muli ito sa dalaga at ngumiti. “But it’s not like that. If this whole thing were a typical story, this would mean me falling in love with the villain.”
“I love Ayra. I love her for everything that she is, and everything that she will never be.” Tumitig siya sa mukhang nakangiti sakanya sa picture frame sa mesa niya. “She will never learn how to cook, every morning when I wake up, I will wake up to the sound of her screaming at the top of her lungs, and her face covered in pancake mix. I will come down stairs then, laughing, not sure if she’ll be mad at me. But I will wipe the pancake mix of her pretty face and sit her on the table as I cook bacon and eggs. she will have a hard time with our first baby, crying because she doesn’t know how to change his diapers. there I am again, teaching her what to do, laughing as she grimaces at the sight of poop.” tumawa siya pagkasabi niyon. “She will try to massage me and end up turning me into clay-doh because she presses too hard but instead of getting mad I will kiss her and make love to her all night.” Napabuntong-hininga siya. “Look, she will never be the perfect wife. She will spend all my money, come home early morning, never cook for me, and will turn all my hair white before my time. But that is why I love her and she won’t believe in me and I know you find it crazy but that is the truth so you two will both have to deal with it.”
“Yeah, I love you too.” wika ni Ayra na nakasandal sa hamba ng pituan at sumisimsim ng kape.
THIS IS AN EXCERPT FROM A STORY I’LL BE MAKING AFTER I FINISH THE STORY I WILL BE WORKING ON THIS YEAR. SORRY GUYS!
